JOIN US FOR THE BONNIE & CLYDE WATCH PARTY, FRIDAY AT 6 PT/9 ET

If you, like me, miss going to the movies as much as anything, please join us tomorrow night for our Valentine’s Weekend Watch Party, Bonnie & Clyde. The movie starts at 6pm PT/9pm ET. We would really love to have you. If you’ve never joined us before, you can get more information here on how it works. All you’ll need to join us is an active Netflix account. We’ll post a link here as well as on our Facebook page. All you’ll have to do is click the link.

Our original post on the movie is below:

If you’re still looking for something fun to do over Valentine’s Day Weekend without dying, consider joining us for our next Watch Party. As part of our Romance Virtual Film Festival, we’ll be watching Bonnie & Clyde, starring Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty as a couple of madly in love kids who happen to get their kicks by robbing banks across the Depression-era Great Plains. The cast also features Gene Hackman, Estelle Parsons (who won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her performance), and Gene Wilder in his first movie role. Director Arthur Penn was heavily influenced by the French New Wave, but this movie caused a cultural earthquake when it came out in 1967 for its frank depictions of violence and sex, and struck a chord with the counterculture for its heroes rebelling against corrupt business interests.

So please join us on Friday night and watch Bonnie & Clyde stick it to the man while also, y’know, sometimes sticking it to each other.

  1. I’m usually asleep early on Tuesdays, but I’ll try to make it just for the silliness. With the exception of this weekend’s grand prix, my TV viewing is limited to non-commercial Netflix or Prime. I’m even avoiding YouTube with the exception of a certain baking program with a hobbit pun name.
