A very influential documentary that was far ahead of its time in both its talking head approach and its LGBT themes, though for few films am I more confident saying “your mileage may vary.”

A well-pitched exercise in peak blaxploitation style more than an actual movie, with an all-timer of a soundtrack.
THE CONNECTION (1961)
This is sort of the closest thing you’ll find a movie by and for the Beat Movement, an interesting exercise but I’m not sure it actually works as a film.
