Definitely the best movie ever made about were-panthers, it is remarkably effective at building tension using mostly shadows, sound design, and weird sexual undertones.

BIG (1988)
A “big” hit about a kid trapped in adult’s body, which works almost entirely because Tom Hanks believably plays a 13-year-old boy.
FEHÉRLÓFIA (1981)
A completely unexpected, elemental masterpiece, it somehow feels straight out of prehistory. This may be the best animated movie most people have never heard of.
EXCALIBUR (1981)
With King Arthur back in theaters, we revisit this tonally wild epic 1980s masterpiece (??) for the Arthurian completist.
SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS (1937)
It is the original full-length animated movie, and helped to launch a media empire. For me it holds up today, um, intermittently?
LE VOYAGE DANS LA LUNE (1902)
This might be the earliest movie we ever discuss on this site. Should you watch it? Spoilers: probably.
DARBY O’GILL AND THE LITTLE PEOPLE (1959)
A silly but more charming than you might expect live-action Disney movie involving leprechauns, banshees, and Sean Connery.
THE WIZARD OF OZ (1939)
Estimated to be the most-watched movie of all-time, it somehow works just as well 82 years later.
THE BLOOD OF JESUS (1941)
This is a movie as “outsider art,” an unfiltered detour into a religious mind without an insincere bone in its body.
KIKI’S DELIVERY SERVICE (1989)
A gentle story about a young girl growing up who just happens to be a witch who rides around on broomsticks and stuff.
